the whole procedure of reading and coming up with new ideas is as follows
- you pick up a book to read
- you read the book in your own pace, while annotating through it and making notes in the book / on obsidian about ideas you get while reading them
- once your done reading, you flip thru the whole book again, looking for notes to write dowm from the book to summarize the idea being put across by the author
- then you ask yourself what unique ideas you can take out, then you make atomic notes linking back to the book as a reference
- these atomic notes can be short mini essays or however you want to convey the idea
ps: these aren’t just for books, i encourage you to do this for everything you consume from yt, to articles, to tweets, to courses, to new things you learn
